Circumcision - Did you know...

The Foreskin...

       Is protective.

Produces moisturizer that keep the surface of the glans healthy.

      Provides defense against injury.

Allows the glans to develop normally.

      Is self-cleaning.

Plasma cells in the foreskin’s mucosal lining, secrete immunoglobulin,  antibodies that defend against infection.

Glands produce antibacterial and antiviral proteins called lysozyme, also found in tears and breast milk.

      Provides protection from STD’s.

Insures optimal protection of the urinary meatus (the opening of the glans  through which urine and semen flow) from contamination and bacterial invasion.

Babies excrete 300-500mg of oligosaccharides in their urine, which are passed to the child during breastfeeding, that protect them against UTI’s,  as well as infections in other parts of the body, and prevents virulent strains of E-Coli from adhering to the mucosal lining of the urinary tract, including the foreskin and glans.

The glans is meant to be an internal organ.
Why are we removing it?
Do we believe that God made a mistake?
What are your thoughts or questions about circumcision?
